In cooperation with Connection Leadership, the contractor, SML accompanied the High Council for the Sea (HCM) of Togo and its technical committee in defining a strategy for the development of maritime spatial planning.
SML brought both methodological and operational expertise. drawing on international and national maritime spatial planning experiences, and contributed to Proofreading of the different deliverables produced by the national experts (governance, socioeconomic diagnostic, legal) contributing to the national diagnostic.
This expertise has been mobilised to serve the development of a sustainable blue economy in Togo, within the framework of the National Strategy for the Sea and Coastline (SNPML) by 2030, covering all of the country's maritime spaces, including the EEZ.
