L'National Association of Coastal Elected Officials (ANEL) brings together elected representatives from coastal local authorities in mainland France and overseas to discuss the specific issues of economic development and coastal protection. Each year ANEL organises its annual conferenceThis new initiative brings together the key players in coastal management, including elected representatives, public and private operators.
In this context SML has been asked to assist ANEL in preparing the 2023 conference "France Littorale 2100: elected representatives on the front line".. More specifically, our team contributed to :
- Provide the thematic content with a view to drafting the programme.
- Prepare the round tables in conjunction with the main moderator.
- Preparing and run 4 themed workshops :
- "Pollution on the coast: better regulation at source to preserve our territories and their activities";
- "Resilient and concerted water management: what tools are needed to accelerate optimisation of the resource?
- "Managing tourist flows: rethinking the attractiveness of coastal areas by 2100";
- "The future of French fishing and shellfish farming: defending and supporting a sector in transition".
- Contribute to drafting the conference summary (motion).
