As part of the UBEEC (Unleashing a Blue Economy of the Eastern Caribbean) project to stimulate the blue economy in the Eastern Caribbean, SML has participated in economic, institutional and scientific diagnoses of the maritime economy of OECS states.
Following our integrated approach to Maritime and Coastal Capital, we have contributed to the preparation of roadmaps for the blue economy, focusing on diversifying key economic activities, improving the productivity of marine assets, and strengthening their resilience for long-term sustainability.
By analysing ocean research and maritime surveillance programmes in more detail, we have contributed to the preparation of an OECS ocean research programme and associated action plan.
